Welcome to The Amateurs

Founded in 1905 The Amateurs have been part of the Old Earth community since 1954. We are proud to support grassroots football from Under 8 through to Open Age across Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Adult Women and Adult Men's teams. If you are interested in playing or coaching at our Club please visit 'Our Teams', click on the relevant team and register.

We have three of the best grass pitches in the region and have on-site changing and shower facilities for players and officials. We have a fully-stocked bar offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, tea, coffee and other          refreshments and provide CCTV monitored on-site car-parking for around 30 cars.


We look forward to welcoming all players, coaches, parents and spectators and hope you enjoy the facilities we have to offer.

Coaches & Team Managers

Offering football to junior, adult female & adult male players across a range of different abilities we are keen to work with new and established coaches and team managers. We offer a coaching mentoring programme and funding for coaching qualifications is available.

Volunteers

From pitch maintenance to helping serve refreshments, from admin work to car-park attendant there are hundreds of different jobs that need doing to help the club thrive.

You may have a trade and want to build up your network of customers, you might be starting your career and want to gain experience to boost your CV or you may be retired and want to find something worthwhile to fill your time there are lots of opportunities to get involved.
